Last year we reported on the start of a major local project Chalk, Cherries and Chairs. This aims to connect local people to the wildlife and cultural heritage of the Central Chilterns. The scheme operates under three themes – wildlife, heritage and people – but the projects which fall under these three themes are all designed with the Chilterns landscape in mind.
Now the project is about to launch a month of special events, also incorporating walks run by the Chiltern Society and an already established Walking Festival. We’ll be profiling a few of the events here.
For the full programme, see https://www.chilternsaonb.org/ccc-fest.html. Booking for many of the events is via Eventbrite.
NB All in-person events will be risk assessed and Covid-19 safety precautions adhered to, including maintaining a 2m social distance and limiting numbers. Booking is essential for all events and participants will be asked to provide telephone and email details for purposes of contact tracing.
