We can’t travel much right now, but Munich is in the Chilterns at the start and end of next month.
No 2 Pound Street in Wendover, which offers an innovative range of wines and British cheeses, is hosting Oktoberfest on Fri 2 – Sat 3 October and Fri 30 October (4pm-10pm each day).
There’ll be bratwurst, beers, lager, wine, soft drinks, veggie options and a paella from Les Tres Corazones, No 2 Pound Street’s Spanish restaurant neighbours – as well as some traditional ‘Oompah’ music.
In line with current regulations, booking is online (for track and trace) and the event will be socially distanced, with a maximum of 6 people per table in special gazebos. The event will, of course, be cashless.
Tickets are £10 per head, and the sponsored charity for this event is Macmillan Cancer Support.
Tickets are going fast, so book now to reserve your table!
Oktoberfest in Wendover is part of A Chilterns Celebration, a month-long programme of events being co-ordinated by Chalk, Cherries and Chairs, a Chilterns Conservation Board project.
